Indian major ports handled 348.45 mt of traffic during April-September 2019

During April-September 2019-20, Indian major ports handled 348.45 million tonnes (mt) of traffic, compared to 343.38 mt in the corresponding period of 2018-19, registering an increase of 1.48 per cent. Deendayal port (erstwhile Kandla port) handled the maximum traffic at 61.05 mt, followed by Paradip port (55.55 mt) and Visakhapatnam port (34.75 mt).
