Commercial flight from Hindon commences

The first commercial flight from Hindon airport (adjacent to an Indian Air Force airbase) commenced on October 11, 2019. This comes long after the airport was inaugurated in March 2019. A nine-seater plane operated by private airline Air Heritage took off to Pithoragarh district in Uttarakhand from the civilian airbase. Going forward, the flight will operate six days a week, except Thursdays. The airline also plans to launch flights to other destinations such as Shimla and Dehradun.
