As many as 19 bidders, including GMR Infrastructure Limited, Reliance Infrastructure Limited and the Adani Group, have shown interest in the development of the Jewar international greenfield airport in Gautam Buddh Nagar in Greater Noida. The technical bids of shortlisted bidders will be opened on November 6, 2019, after which work on the airport is expected to commence by 2020. Work under Phase I is expected to be completed by 2023.
