NHAI has opened the 10-lane 22.3 km Dasna-Hapur section (Phase III) of the Delhi-Meerut Expressway project. Phase III of the project was completed at an investment of Rs 10.57 billion. All the major structures, including the 2.5 km elevated section over the Upper Ganga Canal overbridge near Masuri, a 5 km elevated section to bypass Pilkhuwa town, a new toll plaza at Chhajarsi and a flyover near the Hapur bypass, are now operational, along with 11 underpasses for heavy vehicles and three underpasses for light vehicles and pedestrians. Besides, Phases II and IV of the project are expected to be completed by December 2019.
