The Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) has set a deadline of March 31, 2022 for completion of the Itanagar (Hollangi) greenfield airport in Arunachal Pradesh. The project involves pavements for the runway, runway strips, turning pads, taxiways, aprons, shoulders, a runway-end safety area, ground support equipment area, an isolation bay, visual aids for navigation, among other ancillary works including operations and maintenance of electrical installations, at an investment of Rs 10.55 billion and will be developed in two phases.
