Indian major ports handled 293.80 mt of traffic during April-August 2019

During April-August 2019-20, the major ports handled 293.8 mt of traffic, compared to 288.47 mt in the corresponding period of 2018-19, registering an increase of 1.85 per cent. Deendayal port handled the maximum traffic at 51.53 mt, followed by Paradip port (46.96 mt) and the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) (29.12 mt).
