The Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) has signed a co-developer agreement with DP World to develop a free trade warehousing zone (FTWZ) at the port. Earlier, in October 2018, Hindustan Infralog Private Limited, a joint venture between DP World and the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund (NIIF), had secured the contract for the development and operations of the FTWZ. The contract value is Rs 5.67 billion ($78 million). The concession period for the FTWZ is 60 years and it will be developed across 18 hectares at JNPT’s special economic zone.
