Indian major ports handled 236.18 mt of traffic during April-July 2019

During April-July 2019-20, the major ports handled 236.18 million tonnes (mt) of traffic, as compared to 231.55 mt in the corresponding period of 2018-19, registering an increase of 2 per cent. Deendayal port (erstwhile Kandla port) handled the maximum traffic at 40.99 mt, followed by Paradip port (38.09 mt) and Visakhapatnam port (23.7 mt).
