Google India’s Internet Saathi programme has now been extended to the states of Punjab and Odisha. In Punjab, the programme will cover around 5,000 villages while in Odisha, it will cover over 16,000 villages. The programme, aimed at empowering rural women to use the internet, has reached 260,000 villages across 20 states in the country.
