Sterlite Power commissions first transmission project in Brazil

Sterlite Power Limited has commissioned its first power transmission project under the Arcoverde project in Brazil. The project has been commissioned 28 months ahead of schedule. The project covered 139 km of transmission lines, 281 towers, a new substation (Arcoverde II), and involved the expansion of two other substations in the region. The project cost is estimated to be 164 million Brazilian real (over Rs 2.8 billion).
