The Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) has fixed the transportation tariff of GAIL (India) Limited’s 3,452 km long pipeline from Hazira in Gujarat to Jagdishpur in Uttar Pradesh via Vijaipur in Madhya Pradesh at Rs 41.11 per million British thermal units (mmBtu). This is lower than the Rs 97.04 per mmBtu tariff that GAIL had sought, citing a capex spending of Rs 247.08 billion over the economic life of the pipeline till 2035.
