MoU signed for facilitating DPE for e-sealed factory-stuffed export containers to V.O. Chidambaranar port

An MoU has been signed between the V.O. Chidambaranar Port Trust and the Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) for facilitating direct port entry (DPE) of e-sealed factory-stuffed export containers to the port. The MoU has been signed as part of the ease of doing business initiatives at the port. With this, the CWC will make use of the 18,357 square metre area earmarked in the truck parking terminal of the port, opposite the Fisheries College, for operating and managing the DPE facility for a period of 30 years on an annual lease rental basis.
