Bids invited to develop Jewar greenfield international airport on a PPP basis

Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL)  on May 30, 2019 invited global bids for the development of the Jewar greenfield international airport project in Uttar Pradesh on a public-private partnership (PPP) basis. The last date for submission of bids is October 30, 2019. Thereafter, the financial bids are expected to be opened on November 29, 2019. The concession period for the airport is 40 years, and is extendable by another 30 years. The bids will be awarded on the basis of the higher per passenger fee that is offered to NIAL. In line with the selection criteria, bidders are expected to have a minimum net worth of Rs 12.5 billion with prior experience in executing infrastructure projects in aviation, real estate and other sectors. As per plans, the airport will be developed in four phases at an investment of Rs 157.54 billion.
