Tata Power’s renewable arm plans to sell wind assets in Maharashtra

Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) plans to sell 32 MW of its operating wind assets located in Satara district of Maharashtra. At present, power from wind projects is tied up with Tata Power Company – Distribution (TPC-D) under a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA). After fulfilling the conditions of the agreement, the assets and liabilities of the projects will be transferred to the buyer, which has not yet been disclosed. The selling of its wind assets is part of TPREL’s restructuring of its portfolio and optimising its operating costs.
