Petronas of Malyasia buys Amplus Energy in Rs 27 billion deal

Malaysia’s Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas) has acquired Amplus Energy Solutions Private Limited, one of India’s largest rooftop solar power producers. The Rs 27 billion deal marks Petronas’s foray into the global clean energy space. I Squared Capital holds over 90 per cent stake in Amplus. Petronas has entered into an agreement with I Squared Capital to acquire 100 per cent interest in Amplus Energy.
