MeitY approves Wistron’s plan worth Rs 50.91 billion to manufacture high-end Apple devices in India

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has approved Wistron’s plan worth Rs 50.91 billion to manufacture high-end Apple devices in India. The move is expected to propel the government’s Make in India initiative. At present, Wistron manufactures cheaper Apple phones in the country.
