US likely to extend sanction waiver for India

The US is likely to extend the sanction waiver for India. The sanction waiver extension will let the country continue buying Iranian oil as the existing sanction waiver expires in May 2019. In November 2018, India, China, Turkey, South Korea and Japan were among the eight countries that were allowed to import Iranian crude and condensate without facing penalties.
