IR scraps flexi fare scheme for select passengers

IR has scrapped the flexi fare scheme for passengers travelling between New Delhi and Chandigarh on the Shatabadi Express. As per the amended rule, the Chandigarh Shatabdi fare has been fixed between Rs 575 and Rs 595 as against the earlier set fare of Rs 850-Rs 900 due to the flexi fare scheme. Earlier, in 2018, IR decided to scrap the flexi fare in 15 premium trains. Apart from this, the highest slab in other premium trains was reduced from 1.5 to 1.4 times.
