IHMCL signs MoU with CSC e-Governance Services for issuance of FASTags

Indian Highways Management Company Limited (IHMCL) has signed an MoU with CSC e-Governance Services India Limited for the issuance of FASTags through common service centres (CSC). CSC e-Governance Services India Limited is a special purpose vehicle (SPV) set up by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. The collaboration aims at making FASTags available to citizens through an extensive network of over 0.1 million CSC outlets across the country. Further, IHMCL has proposed the extension of FASTag services across state and city toll plazas. It has come out with a state/city/SPV onboarding policy, whereby it will provide financial assistance to the state/city/SPV authority for implementation of the national electronic toll collection (NETC) programme. Adoption of the NETC programme by state/city/SPV toll plazas will help in addressing the congestion issue and enhance customer travel experience.
