A consortium led by Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) will be executing the Kerela Fibre Optic Network (K-FON) project worth Rs 10.28 billion. The K-FON project aims to build state-wide infrastructure that provides connectivity to all government and educational institutions apart from offering internet services to citizens at cheaper rates. The BEL consortium comprises RailTel Corporation and SRIT India Private Limited.
