Civilian terminal at Hindon airbase inaugurated

The central government inaugurated the new civilian terminal developed at the Hindon airbase in Ghaziabad on March 8, 2019. The airbase, jointly owned by the Indian Air Force and the Airports Authority of India (AAI), has been developed at a cost of Rs 400 million for operating civilian flights under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS). Four airlines – IndiGo, Heritage Aviation, Ghodawat Airlines and Turbo Aviation – will be providing connectivity from the airport. Once commercial operations commence, it will have the capacity of handling 300 passengers during peak hours.
