MoR lays foundation stone for new coaching terminal at Nemom

The MoR laid the foundation stone for a new coaching terminal at Nemom in Thiruvananthapuram division in Kerala on March 7, 2019. At present, only a small portion of the work has started due to lack of land availability. To expedite the work, the government has requested the authorities to hand over about 7.18 hectares of land. The terminal is expected to be developed at a cost of Rs 1.48 billion including the cost of land acquisition. At the same time, the ministry has also unveiled a high speed WAP-7HS passenger locomotive, which has been fully indigenously developed under the Make in India initiative.
