The Dilshad Garden-Ghaziabad metro rail project (Delhi Metro, Line 1 Extension) was inaugurated on March 8, 2019. The project involved the development of a 9.63 km metro rail network extension from Dilshad Garden in East Delhi to Shaheed Sthal (New Bus Stand) in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, at an investment of Rs 17.81 billion. It is part of the extension to Line 1 (Dilshad Garden-Rithala) of the Delhi metro project, Phase I.
