CCEA approves construction of four-lane bridge over Brahmaputra river

The CCEA has approved the construction of a four-lane bridge (including approaches) over the Brahmaputra river between Dhubri on the north bank and Phulbari on the south bank on NH-127 B in the states of Assam and Meghalaya. The total length of the bridge will be 19.28 km. The bridge will be constructed under Phase III of the North-East Road Network Connectivity Project with loan assistance from the Japan International Cooperation Agency. The civil construction cost for the bridge is Rs 35.48 billion.
