Adani emerges highest bidder for all six airports on PPP

The Adani Group has emerged as the highest bidder to operate six airports in the country on a public-private partnership (PPP) basis. The company has offered per passenger fees of Rs 177, Rs 174, Rs 171, Rs 168, Rs 160 and Rs 115 to the Airports Authority of India (AAI) for the Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Thiruvananthapuram, Guwahati and Mangaluru airports respectively. The six airports were put up for privatisation in December 2018, following which 10 companies had submitted technical bids. However, the Adani Group offered the highest fee per passenger, thereby winning all six airports.
