NMG service commences operations at APM Terminals Mumbai

The newly structured Nhava Sheva-Mundra-Gulf (NMG) service commenced operations at APM Terminals Mumbai on February 21, 2019. The first vessel call for the service was made by Sima Marine’s M.V. OEL Transworld. The NMG is a weekly service connecting various ports in the Middle East. The route followed by the service is Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (APM Terminals Mumbai)-Mundra-Khalifa-Jebel Ali-Sohar.

APM Terminals Mumbai is a joint venture between APM Terminals and Container Corporation of India Limited. Operating from Nhava Sheva’s Jawaharlal Nehru port, APM Terminals Mumbai services around 13 per cent of India’s throughput and achieved a record performance of handling over 2 million twenty-foot equivalent units in 2018.
