MoRTH inaugurates Mandovi bridge in Goa

The MoRTH has inaugurated the third bridge over the Mandovi river in Goa. The 5.1 km cable-stayed bridge is the country’s third longest cable-stayed bridge and has been constructed at a total cost of Rs 6 billion. The bridge has been opened for all light and heavy motor vehicles though two-wheelers and three-wheelers are not allowed on the new bridge. The speed limit is 50 km per hour and will be strictly enforced by placing CCTV cameras and speed sensors, which will be installed over the next two months.
