Major ports handled 578.86 mt of traffic during April-January 2019

During the first 10 months (April-January) of fiscal 2018-19, the major ports handled 578.86 million tonnes (mt) of traffic, compared to 561.39 mt in the corresponding period of 2017-18, an increase of 3.11 per cent. Deendayal port (erstwhile Kandla port) handled the maximum traffic at 94.55 mt, followed by Paradip port (89.98 mt) and JNPT (58.6 mt).
