Gujarat government signs MoU for three terminal projects

The Gujarat government has signed MoUs for three terminal projects in Gujarat. The projects are the Dahej liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal expansion (Phase II) project, the Mandvi crude oil terminal project and the Hazira LNG terminal project. For the Dahej LNG terminal expansion (Phase II) project, Petronet LNG Limited has plans to expand the capacity of its Dahej LNG terminal from 15 mtpa to 20 mtpa at a cost of Rs 21 billion. For the Mandvi crude oil terminal project, HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited has plans of investing Rs 14 billion for development of a single-point mooring system and a crude oil terminal at Mandvi. For the Hazira LNG terminal project, Essar Energy Services Limited plans to develop two LNG terminals (floating storage and regasification unit/floating storage unit) each of 6 mtpa capacity in two phases in the Tapi river estuary at Hazira, Gujarat.
