Government withdraws notification that sought to levy duties on key mobile handset components

The government has withdrawn a notification that sought to levy duties on key mobile handset components such as LCD displays, touch panels and vibrator motors from February 1, 2019. As per industry sources, the government may defer the imposition of duties to April 1, 2020.
