CGD tenth bidding round received an overwhelming response

A total of 225 firms have submitted bids for development of city gas distribution (CGD) networks in 50 geographical areas (GAs) under the tenth round of CGD bidding. Bids have been received from Adani Gas Limited, Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Torrent Gas Private Limited and GAIL Gas Limited amongst other bidders. Under the tenth round, CGD networks will be developed in 50 GAs across the country – 4 districts in Andhra Pradesh, 21 districts in Bihar, 6 districts in Jharkhand, 15 districts in Karnataka, 18 districts in Madhya Pradesh, 6 districts in Punjab, 7 districts in Rajasthan, 29 districts in Uttar Pradesh, 8 districts in West Bengal, 3 districts in Kerala, 3 districts in Haryana, 2 districts in Chhattisgarh, 1 district in Uttarakhand, and 1 district in Tamil Nadu.
