The Uttar Pradesh government has sanctioned funds worth Rs 3.53 billion for the Agra sewerage project. The bidding process for the project is expected to commence soon. The project involves laying of a 251 km sewer line network in 22 municipal wards of the total 100 wards in the city, along with repair and maintenance work of eight STPs. The project will be implemented under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT).
