Petronet LNG Limited has planned the capacity expansion of its Dahej liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Gujarat from 15 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) to 20 mtpa. The project is expected to entail an investment of Rs 21 billion, of which Rs 13 billion will used for expansion of the terminal and Rs 8 billion will be used for building LNG storage tanks. Earlier, the capacity of the Dahej terminal had been increased from 10 mtpa to 15 mtpa. The project was commissioned in October 2016.
