MoRTH releases Rs 1.93 billion for two sections of India-Myanmar-Thailand trilateral highway

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has released Rs 1.93 billion for two sections of the India-Myanmar-Thailand trilateral highway. For the 120.74 km Kalewa-Yagyi road section, it has released Rs 1.88 billion of the approved cost of Rs 14.59 billion. Meanwhile, Rs 48.4 million of the approved cost of Rs 3.72 billion has been released for 69 bridges along with an approach road on the Tamu-Kyigone-Kalewa road section. Both these projects are being funded by the Government of India under grant assistance to the Myanmar government.
