Indian ports handled 518.64 mt of traffic during April-December 2018

During the first nine months (April-December) of fiscal year 2018-19, Indian major ports handled 518.64 mt of traffic, compared to 499.78 mt in the corresponding period of 2017-18, registering an increase of 3.77 per cent. Deendayal port (erstwhile Kandla port) handled the maximum traffic at 84.91 mt, followed by Paradip port (80.43 mt) and the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) (52.53 mt).
