Foundation stone laid for two projects in Ganga/Yamuna area in Uttar Pradesh

Foundation stones have been laid for two projects in the trans- Ganga/Yamuna area in Uttar Pradesh under the One City One Operator scheme. The scope of work includes the intersection and diversion of the sewage network, 7 sewage pumping stations and three sewage treatment plants (STPs) at Naini, Phaphamau and Jhusi in Allahabad district with a total capacity of 72 million litres per day (mld). The projects are estimated to entail an investment of Rs 7.68 billion. They are being implemented on a hybrid annuity-based PPP model including O&M for a period of 15 years.
