The Container Corporation of India flagged off the maiden coastal voyage of a vessel, SSL Mumbai, from Deendayal port on January 10, 2018. The vessel will be sailing from Deendayal port to V.O. Chidambaranar port via Mangalore and Cochin ports. About 1,400 containers are expected to be moved via waterways through these ports on a weekly basis.
