APM Terminals Mumbai has achieved a record of handling more than 2 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) throughput in 2018 for the first time since the terminal was commissioned in 2006. It is the only Indian port to have achieved this feat in one calendar year.
APM Terminals Mumbai is a part of the terminal brand of A.P. Moller-Maersk, which is a joint venture between APM Terminals and the Container Corporation of India. Operating from Nhava Sheva’s Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust, APM Terminals Mumbai is India’s largest container terminal handling facility in terms of container throughput and handles 18 per cent of the country’s containerised cargo.
