The Uttar Pradesh cabinet has approved the selection of Adani Transmission Limited and Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (Powergrid) for setting up transmission networks for evacuation of power from two TPPs – Obra C and Jawaharpur – with a capacity 1,320 MW each. The two companies have been selected via a tariff-based competitive bidding process. Adani Transmission will be building the transmission infrastructure for the Obra C TPP with an investment of Rs 8.71 billion while Powergrid will be developing the transmission network for the Jawaharpur TPP with an investment of Rs 5.3 billion.
