IR will now address complaints regarding the quality of food served on trains through a real-time monitoring system. This facility will be provided via a software (eDrishti) which has been developed by the Centre for Railway Information System. In addition, this software has been connected with the base kitchens of the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation. Besides providing the exact location of trains, the software will also provide the live status of reserved and unreserved passengers travelling on trains.
