CERC notifies amendments to DSM regulations

The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission has notified the Deviation Settlement Mechanism [DSM] and Related Matters (Fourth Amendment) Regulations, 2018. The regulations will come into force from January 1, 2019. The commission has revised the charges for deviation in the amended regulations. In addition, amendments have been made with respect to linking the DSM price vector to the daily average clearing price discovered in the day-ahead market on power exchanges, limits on the deviation volume and consequences of crossing the limits, among others.
