ONGC draws plan to integrate HPCL and OPaL

ONGC is in the process of drawing up a perspective plan to integrate the recently acquired Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and the OPaL petrochemical plant at Dahej, with its main oil and gas exploration and production business. The company is drawing up a plan to achieve proper synergies from the integration. This will maximise value, optimise cost and increase the efficiency of the company. Synergies such as the use of naphtha and other liquid hydrocarbons produced in the OPaL petrochemical plant can result in huge opportunities for ONGC. ONGC already is the majority owner of Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) which has a 15 mt refinery.
