Prices of natural gas revised

The government has raised the domestic price of natural gas by 10 per cent to $3.36 per unit for the six-month period October 2018-March 2019. Natural gas prices in the country are revised every six months based on a pricing formula notified in October 2014. The price cap on gas from discoveries in deepwater, ultra deepwater and high pressure, high temperature areas has also been increased. The price of gas from such fields has been revised to $7.67 per unit for six months beginning October 1 as compared to $6.78 currently..
