CCEA approves revision of ethanol prices

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has given its approval to revise the price of ethanol derived from B heavy molasses/ partial sugarcane juice and fix the price for 100 per cent sugarcane juice-based ethanol for 2018-19. The ex-mill price of ethanol derived out of B heavy molasses/partial sugarcane juice has been increased from Rs 47.13 per litre to Rs 52.43 per litre. The ex-mill price of ethanol derived from 100 per cent sugarcane juice has also been revised from Rs 47.13 per litre to Rs 59.13 per litre for those mills which divert 100 per cent of their sugarcane juice for production of ethanol thereby not producing any sugar.
