Cabinet promotes enhanced recovery production methods

The cabinet has approved the policy framework to promote and incentivise enhanced recovery/improved recovery and unconventional hydrocarbon (UHC) production methods and techniques. Enhanced recovery includes both enhanced oil recovery and enhanced gas recovery, while UHC production includes shale oil and gas production, tight oil and gas production, production from gas hydrates and heavy oil. The policy is applicable to all contractual regimes and nomination fields.
