The V.O. Chidambaranar Port Trust has extended the free storage period in the scale of rates (SoR) of the port for facilitating the movement of containers by rail with effect from August 16, 2018. The storage period has been extended from the existing 5 days to 15 days. The charges applicable from the 16th day to the 22nd day and thereafter will be as per the existing SoR.
