Union Cabinet apprised of MoU signed between India and Republic of Korea for cooperation in the field of railways

The Union cabinet was recently apprised of an MoU signed between the Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO), India, and the Republic of Korea Railroad Research Institute (KRRI) on July 10, 2018 for strengthening and promoting scientific and technical cooperation in the railway sector. The MoU will provide a cooperation framework for a focused approach in various areas, including planning and execution of joint research for mutual interests, cooperation in setting up of latest railway research and development facilities in India, short-term training programmes for RDSO personnel by KRRI, consultancy for development of the railway industry in both countries, and any other area that may be jointly decided upon by the two countries.
