Steering committee on 5G submits its report

The steering committee established to draw India’s 5G roadmap has submitted its report to the telecom secretary. The recommendations are centred on topics such as spectrum policy, regulatory policy, education and awareness, application and use case labs, participation in international standards, development of application layer standards, and major 5G trials. The committee has recommended the announcement of the policy by December 31, 2018 and asked the government to issue the necessary notifications.
