MoS clears bailout plan for stressed PPP projects at major ports

The Ministry of Shipping (MoS) has cleared a bailout plan for stressed PPP projects at the major ports. In addition, the MoS has cleared the criteria for the identification/classification of stressed projects at the major ports. It has prepared a three-point formula which includes an extended free storage period in comparison to the one available at the nearby private ports with a view to optimise capacity utilisation of berths. Four projects at Visakhapatnam port and three at Deendayal port are expected to benefit from the plan.
