Plasser India delivers the first-of-its-kind track tamping machine for railways

Established, in 1965, Plasser India manufactures the most up-to-date high performance and highly sophisticated machines for railway track maintenance, track laying as well as track renewal. The machines for Indian Railways are tailor-made; focusing on technology most appropriate for the local conditions.

For over 50 years, Plasser India has concentrated on the development, adaptation to local requirements, manufacturing and also export of track maintenance machines.

Plasser India is the largest supplier of track maintenance machine to Indian Railways and has a state of the art manufacturing and service unit at Faridabad, Haryana. Apart from Indian Railways, Plasser India has supplied heavy machinery for track maintenance to Bangladesh & Myanmar.

A long standing relationship with Indian Railways is what gives Plasser India the edge over other companies in the track maintenance business which is further strengthened through its pioneering spirit, high performance in sector of technology, quality and sustainability.

Till now more than 800 heavy-duty machines have been supplied to Indian Railways and other Customers in India; which includes IRCON, Konkan Railways, Delhi Metro, Nagpur Metro, Bangalore Metro, Adani Port, TATA, GMR, L&T, Myanmar Railways, Bangladesh Railways.

Most recently Plasser India delivered a total of seven High Performance Track Tamping machine with integrated Dynamic Track Stabilizer, first of it’s kind in India.

These high end machines will greatly support the Indian Railways vision to fully mechanize the Track maintenance work for improving Safety and Quality of track and to ensure that higher speed on routes all across India can be achieved

These machines have been manufactured in India under MAKE IN INDIA initiative and shows the dedication of Indian operation.

The Company has also gifted a state-of-the-art 3D Track Tamping simulator to (IRTMTC), Allahabad, this equipment is enabling real time training for all operators of Tamping machines. The introduction will reduce significantly the required training period and is optimizing the skill level to the maximum extent.

Keeping in line with the MAKE IN INDIA initiative of the country and the ambitious expansion and modernization plans of the Indian Railways, Plasser India is in the process of completing its new and much larger, more modern and state of the art manufacturing facility in the state of Gujarat near Karjan. This new unit set up over a plot of about 25 Acres with an investment in excess of INR 400 Crores, is expected to commence production within this financial year
